Syafii sect or school of Syafie (Arabic : شافعية , Syāfi'īyaṯ ) is fiqah schools initiated by Muhammad ibn Idris al - Syafii or also known as Imam Syafie . This school of kebanyakkannya followed by the Muslim population in the South of Egypt , West Saudi Arabia , Syria , Indonesia , Malaysia , Brunei , Singapore , the Philippines and South Coromandel Coast of Malabar , Hadramaut ( Yemen ) , and Bahrain .

This school of thought fiqah Syafie preceded by a priest , who lived in the time of conflict between the flow of scholars of hadith ( hadith texts tend to hold on ) and ahl al - ra'y ( reasonable minds tend to hold on or ijtihad ) . He learned from Imam Malik as figures hadith expert , and Imam Muhammad ibn Hasan al- Syaibani as ahl al - ra'y figures are also students of Imam Abu Hanifa .

Imam Syafie then formulate the flow or sect itself , which can be said to be in between these two groups . Imam Syafii refused Istihsan of Imam Abu Hanifa mahupun Mashalih mursalah of Imam Malik . However, the School Syafie receive wider use of Analogy versus Imam Malik . Although differing from the two schools , excellence as scholars Imam Syafii fiqah , Proposal al - Fiqh , and Hadith of his time to make his school gained a lot of followers and piety recognized by scholars crowded living contemporaries .
